What affects the cost
Drive type and HP move the number most.
Opener installs are more predictable than door installs. The unit is the biggest variable. We'll quote the full scope before we start.
Drive type
Chain is the budget pick. Belt adds $100–200 for the quiet factor. Jackshaft is premium because of the side-mount hardware.
Horsepower needed
Light doors take 1/2 HP. Heavy insulated steel and wood carriage want 3/4 HP or higher. We match torque to weight.
Smart features
MyQ Wi-Fi is standard on current models. Add-ons like cameras, battery backup, and Wi-Fi hubs are optional, itemized on the quote.
Wiring & outlets
If you need a new outlet added at the opener, that's an electrician's job we'll coordinate. Standard rewiring within the unit is included.
